Kiwi country singer Kaylee Bell is making all the right people turn around in Australia!
The Waimate-born artist took to the stage during blind auditions on 'The Voice Australia', currently mentored this season by Keith Urban, Rita Ora, Jess Mauboy and Guy Sebastian.
Singing a song titled 'Keith', which was written to country icon Keith Urban - it seemed fitting that he was the first to turn around to her voice. But it did take Keith Urban a moment to realise that the song Kaylee was singing was actually about him.
The singer eventually got all four judges to turn around, with Rita Ora amazed by Kaylee's confidence to sing a song about Keith to the Keith.
"It sure is," Kaylee responded to Rita. "I wrote it over in Nashville a couple of years ago with two buddies of mine."
Keith himself said he had heard from a friend that she had written a song about him before.
"I've never had any song written about me before but the fact that you also wrote it about the songs and the titles and the feeling in those, that's just so touching Kaylee I can't thank you enough for that."
Unfortunately for Keith, fellow judge Jess Mauboy played a block card against him, preventing the country singer from recruiting Kaylee to his team. With the remaining three mentors to choose from, Kaylee decided to choose Jess's team for The Voice competition.
