After nearly 5 years since his last solo effort, Kendrick Lamar has begun the roll out of his highly anticipated new album Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers.
The enigmatic Compton rapper has begun said roll out by releasing a new track "The Heart Part 5", as well as an accompanying video.
The song itself features an infectious sample of the 1976 Marvin Gaye classic "I Want You", with a decidedly modern treatment to ensure new life is brought to what is one of Gaye's most iconic efforts.
The music video features deep-fake appearances from many familiar faces, such as OJ Simpson, Kanye West, Jussie Smollett, Will Smith, Kobe Bryant, and Nipsey Hussle. All of whom are super-imposed onto Kendrick's face to almost give the impression that they are the ones rapping.
Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers is out May 13.
