‘You are my everything’: The Osbourne family remembers Ozzy a year on

Sharon and Kelly Osbourne have paid tribute to their adored Ozzy Osbourne on the first anniversary of his death.

The TV personality has reflected on the rock icon's passing on the first anniversary of his death, revealing how she hopes he will be remembered.

In a new interview with the BBC, Sharon said she wanted fans to remember "how funny he was - funny and charismatic and real".

"As Ozzy would say, 'when you want to remember me, just yank up the music really loud, as loud as you can get it, and just head bang,'" she added.

Sharon, who was married to the Black Sabbath frontman for 43 years, said they could always find a way to laugh together.

I mean we could have the worst arguments in the world, but we would end up laughing because he would say something so ridiculous that we would just crack up.

Sharon was in Ozzy's hometown of Birmingham on Wednesday as the city prepared to host its first Ozzy Day, a free celebration honouring the rock legend.

Daughter Kelly Osbourne also paid tribute to her father with two emotional Instagram posts marking the anniversary. 

In the first, she reflected on how grief had changed her over the past year, writing that she missed "who I was before my daddy died" and describing how loss leaves people as "ghosts of the people we used to be".  

Kelly followed it with a heartfelt letter addressed to "my daddy", opening by saying she still feels Ozzy's presence "in the wind, in every song that stops me in my tracks, in the smell of your cologne and in every moment that love outweighs grief." 

"I always thought life was hard, but life without you has been the hardest thing I have ever had to endure," Kelly wrote.

You are my everything. My protector. My greatest teacher. My best friend. The apple of my eye. My reason.

Reflecting on the life they shared, Kelly said, "Even through all the madness we lived through, you somehow made every moment worthwhile. You taught me that love could exist in the simplest things."

She also wrote about her son Sidney, saying Ozzy would "adore the little man he is becoming" and that she catches "glimpses of you in him" every day.

"You made people believe that life could be better because of the way you lived yours. With honesty, loyalty, courage, humor, and a heart bigger than anyone realized. There will never be another you," she continued.

Kelly concluded the letter: "Thank you for being my daddy. Thank you for loving me so fiercely. Thank you for making me who I am. I miss you with every part of my soul. I love you beyond words, beyond time, beyond this life."

While Kelly and Sharon have publicly reflected on Ozzy's first anniversary, son Jack Osbourne has yet to post a personal tribute on his social media.

Instead, he's spent the day re-sharing a huge number of fan tributes, memories and posts celebrating his dad to his Instagram Story, amplifying the outpouring of love from friends, family and fans around the world.
