The success of Stranger Things season four has been very rewarding for Kate Bush, with her iconic tune 'Running Up That Hill' earning her a great deal of money.
Since the feature, the 1985 song's popularity has blown up as a new generation has been introduced to the tune.
It has proven so popular that 37 years after its first release, the single has finally reached the top of the UK music charts.
Grateful for the newfound success, Bush released a statement on her official website thanking the creators of the show.
"Featuring 'Running Up That Hill' in such a positive light during the current season four, the song has been brought into the emotional arena of fear, conflict and the power of love."
All of this success has been amazing for Kate Bush, especially because her company, Noble & Brite, own the recording rights to the song.
'Running Up That Hill' received more than 137 million global Spotify streams over the past 3 weeks, which means she could have earned more than $500,000 in royalties alone.
When you include physical sales, streams, and downloads on other platforms, it's highly likely, that Bush has made a fortune off her song's newfound success.
It has since come out that Bush is a major Stranger Things fan and permitted the creators to use the song within the series. It warms our hearts to see the support for the iconic collaboration we never knew we needed!
