Weekend 2 of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is where artists stop playing it safe - and if Justin Bieber is paying attention (he is), this is his chance to turn a solid set into another career-defining moment.

Last weekend, the internet (and my office) was completely torn over how they felt about the pop star’s Weekend 1 headlining act.

While some people said opting to play nostalgic tracks from YouTube on a computer linked to the big screen was ‘lazy’, cheap’, and ‘boring’, others called it genius - reminding everyone who Justin is and where he’s come from.

So, in anticipation of what he might pull next, I went around the office and asked what Bieber might surprise us with this weekend.

Justin Bieber Coachella Weekend 2 predictions

Jaden Smith come out to rap ‘Never Say Never’

We got a wee teaser of the 2011 track last weekend, but we want more. It’s well known that the pair are still good friends 15 years later, and with confirmation that Jaden was at Weekend 1, plenty of Beliebers are holding onto hope that he might join the Coachella Main Stage as a special guest.

2019We saw the bromance between Justin and Jaden at Coachella 2024, and we haven’t seen the two link up just yet for 2026… suspicious (or maybe that’s just my delusion talking), I think yes.

Celebrity guest for ‘One Less Lonely Girl’ - Billie Eilish, Hailey Bieber, SZA

The song every girl wants to hear - not just for the vocals, but because he’s notoriously known for bringing a special guest on stage every time.

Billie Eilish and SZA are top picks, but a lot of people also think it could be his wife, Hailey Bieber.

Personally, Hailey makes the most sense. For years, he’d sing to crushes or girls from the crowd, but the song embodies finding your soulmate - and what better way to show off your wife to the world than making her the final ‘One Less Lonely Girl’?

That said, the incredibly strong friendship between Billie and Justin, starting at Coachella 2019, means fans would love nothing more than seeing them on stage together. There’s also the potential for a cheeky live ‘Bad Guy’ remix, which would send the internet into meltdown.

SZA is a fan favourite too, especially after their 2023 link-up on ‘Snooze’, which could double as both a guest duet and his OLLG moment.

Bieberchella set list changes

As we know, most of the set could stay the same - but there’s definitely room for some changes and additions, especially considering he still hasn’t performed a lot of his biggest hits.

A HUGE one missing from last weekend’s set was ‘What Do You Mean. This was the song that catapulted him back into mainstream pop and one of his biggest songs to date, with over 2 billion streams on Spotify and another 2 billion-plus on YouTube.

Another massive one is ‘One Time’ - and I mean, does this really need explaining? It was his debut single. The song that introduced him to the world. There’s no way he won’t bring it back… surely?

Fans online also think ‘Ghost’, ‘Love Yourself’, and ‘Peaches’ are likely to appear in this weekend’s set, along with ‘As Long As You Love Me’ (feat. Big Sean) and ‘All Around the World’ (feat. Ludacris).

A few fans spotted Jessica Jarrell in the JB crowd during Weekend 1, so speculation has started about a potential pop-up appearance for ‘Overboard’.

Personally, I’d love a full performance of ‘Fall’. He only played a snippet last week, and it low-key went viral with the whole crowd singing it back to him.

Justin Bieber plays MORE YouTube memes

While plenty of Bieber’s stans are dreaming up the perfect setlist, others were quick to ask: “He’ll just do the same thing again, right?”

If he does bring back the YouTube concept, there have already been calls for which memes he should include.

I think we’d all love the classic “I like that laugh” to pop up on the Coachella screen, and what a treat it would be for us Kiwis to see his iconic ‘What Now’ L&P bottle spray accident again.

Weekend 2 won’t just be a repeat. It never is.

If Justin Bieber is testing the waters of a comeback - or simply reminding everyone he still owns pop - this is exactly where it’ll happen.

It’ll be high energy, louder, and way more memorable. And whether it’s Bieber, a surprise guest, or a completely unexpected viral moment, something will happen that makes everyone wish they’d picked Weekend 2.
