John Leguizamo and Inde Navarrette honoured by Critics Choice Celebración

John Leguizamo and Inde Navarrette are among the honorees for the Celebración of Cinema and Television.

The Odyssey's Leguizamo will receive the Career Achievement Award. The Emmy winner's four-decade career to date includes starring roles in Carlito's Way, Romeo + Juliet, Moulin Rouge!, When They See Us and the Ice Age franchise.

Obsession star Navarrette will take the Breakthrough Actress Award for film. Navarrette, who is being touted as Hollywood's newest 'it' girl, has recently been cast to play Rogue in Marvel's rebooted X-Men movie, which will release in cinemas on 5 May 2028.

The Critics Choice Celebración Trailblazer Award goes to Judy Reyes for her TV roles in High Potential and Scrubs.

The Office star Oscar Nuñez; Young & Hungry's Aimee Carrero; writing and directing duo Los Javis; Hail Mary puppeteer James Ortiz; writer and filmmaker Beth de Araújo; Special Ops: Lioness star Laysla De Oliveira; and I'm Still Here producer Rodrigo Teixeira are also being recognised.

The Critics Choice Celebración of Cinema & Television is an annual event hosted by the Critics Choice Association that honours standout onscreen and offscreen work by the Latino and Hispanic entertainment community.

The 6th annual ceremony takes place on 2 October 2026, at the Four Seasons Beverly Hills in Los Angeles.
