Jay Reeve Returns To Farming Roots + Advocates For Rural Resilience

"We need more people sustainably harvesting their own protein," says Reeve.

Rock Drive radio host Jay Reeve was raised in a family of dairy farmers and despite spending much of his adult life in the big smoke he always enjoys the chance to return to his roots in the wilderness of Aotearoa.

Reeve discusses the impact his rural upbringing has had on his life and his career in broadcasting while highlighting the unsung heroes of rural communities.

He shares his passion for hunting, advocating for sustainable practices and stronger urban-rural connections and shares an appreciation for the hard work that goes into the food Kiwis consume every day.
