WATCH: Jason Momoa and All Blacks' 'primal' haka on Chief of War set

Led by Temuera Morrison… it was as star-studded as it gets.

Jason Momoa performed a powerful haka alongside a pack of legendary All Blacks to send off a crew member of his new series ‘Chief of War’.

The ‘Aquaman’ star joined over 100 cast and crew to farewell co-producer K.C. Colwell, who’s heading back home to care for his sick mum.

In a clip shared on Instagram, Temuera Morrison called for “all my warriors” to come together.

“Someone has to organise this artistic chaos, it’s a very very hard, difficult job, but this man does it with a cool head and a warm heart,” he said about Colwell.

The main cast, including Jason Momoa as well as former and current All Blacks, all launch into the ‘Ka Mate’ haka - made world famous thanks to the NZ rugby side and with permission from North Island iwi, Ngāti Toa.

Kees Meeuws, Piri Weepu, Rene Ranger, Frank Bunce, Troy Flavell, Ofa Tu’ungafasi, Pita Alatini and of course Jason Momoa were among those leading the powerful performance.

While Momoa forgot a couple of moves, he was strong in his actions and quickly got back into it - doing it justice and making his crew mate proud.

The moment ended with Momoa running in for a massive hug with Colwell.

Fans online couldn’t get enough of the special send-off.

“It’s the dude with the boom mic also showing his respect. The women in the back also doing the Haka,” said one commenter. “This is always so powerful.”

Another added: “What an incredible series!!! The cast, and crew did such a great job. So much love and respect!”

“Anytime I see this ritual it gives me goosebumps,” wrote a third. “It’s primal the feeling….it just feels good. I can’t begin to imagine what it’s like to be in the physical presence of this energy. Powerful.”

Jason Momoa doing the haka with All Blacks legends - that’s the kind of crossover we’ve been keen to see for years.
