Jamie Lee Curtis pointed out Daniel Radcliffe's resemblance to Harry Potter months before he was cast as the boy wizard.

The Halloween star and British actor, who played mother and son in a 2001 film The Tailor of Panama, reunited for the first time in 25 years on the set of the Today show on Monday, where they were scheduled for separate interviews.

However, Curtis urged Radcliffe to join her interview and recalled her experience working with the 10-year-old on the spy thriller, which was his first film.

She revealed that one day on set, she looked at Radcliffe and noticed his resemblance to the wizard on the cover of J.K. Rowling's 1997 novel Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.

"Daniel had to wear a fake tan because he was very pale and we were supposed to live in Panama, and all the kids were in the pool," Curtis remembered. "He couldn't go in the pool because he had a fake tan. And I remember he was sitting by the pool and I looked up at him at one point and I went, 'Wait, you know, you look like that kid who's on the cover of that book (Harry Potter).'"

The Freaky Friday actress noted that this moment took place before Radcliffe was cast as Harry for the film adaptation, however, the casting team had already reached out to the youngster's parents about him potentially playing The Boy Who Lived in the franchise.

"I don't think I knew about it at this point," the 36-year-old said. "I think my mum was probably looking at you like, 'No, no, no, don't mention it to him.' But yeah, so it was long before I was cast."

Months after The Tailor of Panama's release, Radcliffe made his debut as Harry in 2001's Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. He reprised the role for seven more films, concluding with 2011's Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2.

During their impromptu joint interview, Curtis applauded Radcliffe for the trajectory of his career post-Potter, praising him for his commitment to the art of acting. She added, "Daniel's now on Broadway singing, dancing, doing monologues, doing something very important."
