WATCH: Jacob Elordi dubbed a 'diva' for telling off Venice Film Fest security

"Don't EVER tell me what to do!"

Jacob Elordi half turned towards a member of security staff at Venice Film Festival 2025 in a tense altercation.

Jacob Elordi appeared to get into a tense exchange with a ‘body guard’ and fans can't decide whose side they're on.

While attending the Venice Film Festival for the world premiere of his upcoming movie ‘Frankenstein’, Elordi was caught on camera telling security staff to back off.

A fan who witnessed the heated moment shared the video of the incident on TikTok. In the clip, Elordi can be seen speaking to the man while taking time to engage with fans behind a fence.

“I’m going to take a picture right here,” the ‘Euphoria’ actor explained to him.

While attempting to pose for a couple pictures, Elordi turned back toward the ‘bodyguard’ and said: “Don’t tell me what to do.”

He again goes back to sternly add: "Don't EVER tell me what to do."

Despite it looking extremely awkward, the TikToker who posted the video said the actor “was so nice” and “took photos with everyone he can.”

They added: “He is so sexy and nice.”

Though not everyone agreed, with some slamming the ‘Saltburn’ actor for his “rudeness”.

“Poor guy was just doing his job,” one person wrote in the comments.

Another agreed: “That was really super rude of Elordi.”

“But if something happened he would be blaming the bodyguard for not being aware. Honestly the entitlement of some celebrities,” added a third.

"Ladies... I fear we've created a DIVA," said a fourth.

Others came into his defense for wanting to do the best by his fans.

“This is so funny people complain no matter what,” someone said. “If he doesn't stop to take pictures, people will say he is arrogant, if he stopped to take pictures and basically tell the person whatever he said, he is rude, like people are never happy 😅.”

Another praised Elordi for his comment: “Good for him!! Sometimes these securities forget that they are working for celebrities, not otherwise!”

“Fans literally waited for hours just for a photo or autograph. He wanted to give them that. He values it,” a fan explained. “He always appreciates fans' love and has been grateful. It was so kind of him to make time for them even if it was risky.”

Elordi’s appearance marks his first event in public since his recent breakup with his "on-and-off" girlfriend Olivia Jade Giannulli.

And this isn't his first run-in that has made headlines. Back in 2023, Elordi was under investigation for an alleged assault on Joshua Fox, the Aussie man behind a famous 'MAFS' fan page.
