Jack White's wife Olivia Jean files for divorce

Jack White's wife, Olivia Jean, has filed for divorce after four years of marriage.

Jean submitted divorce paperwork on 3 June, according to TMZ.

The former Black Belles lead vocalist listed their date of separation as the same date of the filing. She claimed in the docs that the White Stripes guitarist is "guilty of inappropriate marital conduct, which makes further cohabitation unsafe and improper".

Jean has requested spousal support, claiming that she depends on White's income to pay her bills, according to the outlet. She also requested to be put on his life insurance policy despite their separation.

The estranged couple were last seen together in April in New York City.

White proposed to Jean during a concert at the Masonic Temple Theatre in Detroit, Michigan, in April 2022, marrying the former goth rock singer on the spot.

"I figured it was a good time," White told The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. "I asked her, 'Do you get married now, or do you wanna wait?' And she's like, 'No! Right now!'"

Jean, meanwhile, told The New York Times that it was the "best experience of my life".

"You could plan a wedding for five years and it wouldn't compare to that," she gushed.
