Jack Antonoff breaks silence on Margaret Qualley split during concert

Jack Antonoff broke his silence on his split from wife Margaret Qualley during a recent concert.

The Bleachers frontman playfully alluded to his separation from The Substance actress when a fan asked them to play their 2017 song Let's Get Married during their show at The Troubadour in Los Angeles on Tuesday night.

"Absolutely not," he replied with a laugh, before quipping, "Read the news, brother."

When the fans explained that it was their wedding song, he added, "I love that song and I wrote it, like, 11 years ago."

Antonoff and Qualley were first romantically linked in 2021, and they tied the knot in New Jersey in 2023.

They sparked split rumours in early July, after three years of marriage, when Qualley didn't accompany Antonoff to his good friend Taylor Swift's wedding. The Leftovers star then fuelled speculation by deleting images of their 2023 wedding from her Instagram page.

Later that month, a representative for the actress confirmed the split to E! News and shut down "categorically untrue" gossip about their breakup.

"There are no trust issues. There was no infidelity or anything outside of respect and partnership in this relationship," they stated, adding they "have deep love and care for one another".

"There are only two people in this marriage," they continued, "and the sources who are talking to the press and commenting on their relationship are not people who know them. Please respect their privacy."
