‘It Launched at My Neck!’: Lana Condor attacked by monkey on set

'The Devil’s Mouth' is out now on Prime Video, and this week on A Little Bit Extra, I caught up with the incredible cast.

One of my absolute highlights was Lana Condor. I’ve loved her ever since 'To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before', and honestly, I don’t think she can do any wrong. She’s just so warm, funny and effortlessly likeable.

We only had four minutes together, which isn’t long to build a rapport, but with Lana the vibe was there instantly. She came in with so much energy and ended up telling me the funniest story about being attacked by a monkey while filming 'The Devil’s Mouth.'

It wasn’t just the story - it was the way she told it. She was trying to rehearse a scene when this monkey suddenly launched itself at her neck out of nowhere. I wish I could do it justice, but honestly, you need to hear Lana tell it herself because her re-enactment had me in stitches!

I also got to chat with Gavin Casalegno from The Summer I Turned Pretty and… look, I’m only human. The second those blue eyes popped up on Zoom, I was absolutely swooning. Thankfully, he was just as lovely as he is handsome.

Tommi Rose and Nico Hiraga joined us too, and together they make such a fun cast. That’s what makes The Devil’s Mouth such a great watch—you get actors you already know and love, but in completely different roles and a totally different genre.
