Introducing the George Reo Māori Kuputaka/Glossary

Nau mai, Haere mai! Welcome to the George Reo Māori Kuputaka/Glossary.
The George crew has worked with our Kaituhono Māori Tīpare & reo Māori expert Hēmi Kelly of ‘Everyday Māori’ fame, to translate a list of uniquely ‘George’ kīwaha (phrases) and kupu (words) into te reo Māori.
Sometimes the translations are literal, and other times they’re interpretations in the spirit of the English slang, in easy to use reo Māori.
Heaps of stuff there for our Kaimahi (workers) on the tools, and those who wanna tell their boss it’s paramanawa - break time!
Listen out for them on George, take your favourites and smash them out with your friends & whānau! And visit ‘Everyday Māori’ on Insta for more tips and treasures for your reo Māori journey.
