I’m Actually Furious More People Aren’t Watching the Funniest Show on TV

Five people with surprised and focused expressions gather closely around a blonde woman holding a smartphone, intently looking at its screen in a home setting.

Season two of Adults has arrived on Disney+ and I’m officially done politely recommending it. If you loved Friends, Overcompensating or The Sex Lives of College Girls, this ridiculously clever, occasionally unhinged comedy needs to be your next binge.

I want to preface this by saying this is not a paid endorsement. This is simply the rant of a furious fan who cannot understand why more people aren’t watching this show.

Season two of Adults is out today on Disney+, and if you like shows like Overcompensating, The Sex Lives of College Girls, Friends or basically any comedy about a group of slightly chaotic people trying to figure out adulthood together, PLEASE watch this show.

The best way I can describe Adults is that it feels like an extremely clever, very 2026 version of Friends — except the humour is completely out the gate, occasionally shocking and genuinely hilarious.

And I mean genuinely hilarious.

I’m one of those annoying people who will type “LOL” while sitting completely expressionless. In my brain I’m laughing, but apparently my face hasn’t received the memo. It takes a LOT for a TV show to make me physically laugh out loud.

Adults does it constantly.

I have already rewatched it more than twice in a ridiculously short amount of time. It’s become my happy show. If I’m having a shit day and need something that will cheer me up, I put on Adults.

It’s just so bloody clever.

Every actor in this cast feels like an emerging comedic talent you’re going to be seeing everywhere in a few years. But underneath all the unhinged jokes and ridiculous situations, there’s also something really sweet about it.

It makes you love your friends.

It makes you want to squeeze your own friend group a little tighter.

It makes you laugh, it makes you cry, and somehow amongst all the chaos, it absolutely nails what friendship feels like.

Also, fun fact: they apparently had to reshoot the opening of the first episode because Disney+ wouldn’t let them start the show with a masturbation scene on a train.

So you may need to dig around for the original version because it is, genuinely, one of the funniest openings to a comedy I have ever seen.

Anyway. That’s my rant.

Watch Adults. Start it this weekend.

I promise you won’t regret it.

It is the best and I need more people to be obsessed with it so I have people to talk about it with.
