'I need time to rest' Justin Bieber announces he's taking a break from his world tour

The singer has put his world tour on pause, needing time to "make my health the priority."

Justin Bieber has announced this morning that he'll be taking a break from touring 'for the time being.

The singer is in the middle of his Justice world tour but following his show in Brazil, has decided that he needs to prioritise his own health and well-being now.

"Earlier this year, I went public about my battle with Ramsay-Hunt Syndrome, where my face was partly paralysed." Justin wrote on Instagram.

"As the result of this illness I was not able to complete the North America leg of the Justice Tour. After resting and consulting with doctors, family, and team, I went to Europe in an effort to continue with the tour.

I performed six live shows but it took a real toll on me. This past weekend I performed at Rock in Rio and I gave everything I have to the people in Brazil. After getting off stage the exhaustion overtook me and I realised that I needed to make my health a priority right now. So I'm going to take a break from touring for the time being." he continued.

"I'm going to be OK but I need time to rest and get better. I've been so proud to bring this show and our message of justice to the world.".

Justin was set to perform in New Zealand this December with more shows scheduled throughout South America, Asia, Australia, and Europe.

The Edge is awaiting the official statement from Frontier Touring on the status of his NZ show set for December 7 at Mt Smart Stadium, Auckland.
