'I'm scared': Disney fans are worried the new live-action Pinocchio will be creepy AF

Is 2022 Pinocchio about to become our new sleep paralysis demon or what?

The trailer for the live-action remake of Pinnochio has just dropped, and it's got some Disney fans concerned - mainly about whether or not CGI Pinnochio is about to ruin our childhoods and haunt our dreams.

The teaser clip gives us a good look at Tom Hanks as Gepetto, and even Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Jiminy Cricket, but old mate Pinokes and that magic schnoz of his stay mostly out of view.

"I'm scared not even Tom Hanks can save the horror of what Pinocchio might look like," one YouTube commenter wrote.

"Place your bets on how freaky Pinocchio is gonna be," another said.

"They should've left Pinocchio alone! The animal characters based on these few clips look so creepy and fake," a third chimed in."

Meanwhile, some others (*cough* dickheads *cough*) are upset that the remake has cast Black actress Cynthia Erivo as The Blue Fairy.

Erivo is an award-winning actress with a Daytime Emmy Award, a Grammy Award, and a Tony Award under her belt, but some people just looove an opportunity to be a bit racist.

Thankfully, there were plenty of Disney fans on hand to shut down the haters.

And this right here absolutely hits the nail on the head!

Let's stay focused on the real issue here guys, is the 2022 version of Pinocchio going to become our new sleep paralysis demon or not?!

Either way, we will have our Disney+ set and ready for its release on September 8th.
