Hell Pizza has gone and done it again, they’ve got us bloody talking - but for a good reason.
Today, they’ve launched ‘Doobious’, a pizza that doesn’t just come with yummy toppings, it comes with a special grinder and a little baggie of dried herbs.
There will be 5,000 grinders given away across the motu, aiming to shine a light on New Zealand’s ongoing conversation around cannabis use - and maybe make the next family dinner a little more interesting while they’re at it.

The unusual giveaway for "herb lovers" hopes to highlight a growing disconnect in the country’s approach to medicinal cannabis.
While legal for prescription use, many Kiwis are reluctant to access medicinal cannabis due to cost, fear of stigma, or uncertainty about the process.
Hell CEO Josh Drake says the high cost of medical cannabis prescriptions leaves treatment out of reach for people managing the chemotherapy side effects, epilepsy and more.
Despite New Zealand being one of the best places to grow cannabis, much of the crop is exported overseas, driving up local prices and keeping conversations about access in the shadows.
“While pizza may not be the key to drug reform, the launch of Doobious could be how we start a long-overdue conversation about access to medical cannabis and its place in society.”

Hell insists the herb grinder is intended for the supplied sage and oregano herbs only, and the gimmick is just a conversation-starter.
And of course, it’s only available to Kiwis over the age of 18.
