Aaron Carter's ex-girlfriend Hilary Duff, his brother Nick Carter and socialite Paris Hilton are among the celebs paying tribute to the singer-turned-rapper after his shocking death.
TMZ first reported the news, revealing that Aaron was found dead aged 34 on Saturday, November 5 (US time) at his home in California. A 911 caller reportedly told emergency services a male had drowned in the bathtub.
On November 6, Nick Carter of the Back Street Boys discussed his brother's passing. He shared a slideshow of photos of the two of them and wrote: "My heart has been broken today. Even though my brother and I have had a complicated relationship, my love for him has never ever faded."
Aaron's fiancé told TMZ: "I love Aaron with all my heart and it's going to be a journey to raise a son without a father. Please respect the privacy of my family as we come to terms with the loss of someone we love greatly. We are still in the process of accepting this unfortunate reality. Your thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated."
Hilary Duff, who previously dated Aaron in 2000 when they were both 13, shared her love for the late star on Instagram. "For Aaron - I'm deeply sorry that life was so hard for you and that you had to struggle in front of the whole world," she wrote. "You had a charm that was absolutely effervescent. Boy did my teenage self love you deeply. Sending love to your family at this time. Rest easy [heart emoji]."
Aaron's twin sister, Angel Conrad, also shared her touching message to Instagram alongside throwback photos of the two.
"I loved you beyond measure. You will be missed dearly. My funny, sweet Aaron, I have so many memories of you and I, and I promise to cherish them. I know you're at peace now. I will carry you with me until the day I die and get to see you again."
Paris Hilton shared her reaction to the news expressing how she was "sad to hear about the news of @aaroncarter. He was always kind to my family and I. He had a good heart. Gone way too soon. Sending my thoughts and condolences to his loved ones and family. RIP."
Aaron was a guest star on 'Sabrina the Teenage Witch,' and Melissa Joan Hart remembered him with a photo from the set. "Sending love to the family and friends and fans of #AaronCarter. Rest In Peace," she wrote on Instagram.
The *NSYNC Twitter account also sent out a message to Aaron's family and followers.
"We are saddened by the news of the sudden passing of Aaron Carter today. Our hearts go out to his family, friends and fans during this difficult time. Rest In Peace Aaron."
It is clear how deeply Aaron was loved, and how his passing has affected a lot of people. Aaron is survived by his siblings and 11-month-old son, Prince.
