The New Zealand Dairy Industry Awards 2023 have announced the winners of this year's competition. The event was held on Saturday night at the Cordis Hotel in Auckland and saw finalists from all over the country compete for the top awards.

Hamish was at the New Zealand Dairy Industry Awards and caught up with the winners of the Share Farmers of the Year, Hayden & Bridget Goble.

The Taranaki couple expressed their overwhelming joy at winning the award, saying that they didn't expect to be standing there with the trophy in hand.

The judging was reportedly close, with the mirrored awards being evenly spread, making it a tough competition. Despite the stiff competition, the Gobles managed to stand out with their hard work and dedication.

The week leading up to the event was full of positive experiences, according to the winners. They spoke about the networking opportunities they had and meeting other contestants, as well as CEOs of various products. The couple was also commended for their hard work away from the farm, with Bridget being a doctor by trade and working at the Taranaki hospital.

The Gobles have two children, which makes their success even more impressive, considering their busy schedule. They attribute their success to being busy people who make things happen, and they like to push each other to achieve their goals.

This was a long-awaited win for the couple, with Hayden having wanted to enter the competition for his whole life. Bridget had encouraged him to participate for three years, and when he finally did, she joined him. The couple has proven that with hard work and dedication, anything is possible.

The New Zealand Dairy Industry Awards are a significant event in the country's agricultural calendar, celebrating the achievements of dairy farmers and encouraging excellence in the industry. The winners of this year's competition have set the bar high for future competitors, inspiring others to work hard and strive for success in the industry.
