Back in the Manawatu, Morgan Laurenson owner and Managing Director Bill Foster joined roaming REX host Hamish Campbell on another episode of Hamish's Heroes.
Foster left Palmerston North Boys High School in the early 1980s and got his first job at seed & stock business Hodder and Tolley as an 'office boy' set up through a careers advisor at school.
He continued to learn and develop his skills eventually getting into sales at Hodder and Tolley, his first true agribusiness experience.
After 15 years at the company, Hoddle and Tolley sold out to Wrightsons and not wanting to work for a corporate, Foster was lucky to be approached by Morgan Laurenson and never looked back.
Watch the full chat between Hamish McKay and Bill Foster above as they discuss agribusiness, the agriculture industry and everything in between.
