While a haka is a common part of many 21st birthday parties, this one doing the rounds on TikTok ticked off two celebrations in one go.
A surprise engagement has left people in tears, with the emotional moment full of aroha captured in a gorgeous way.
Shared by the older sister of the man proposing, the video shows Cassius getting down on one knee behind his unsuspecting partner, who was celebrating her milestone birthday.
As she turns to see him kneeling, ring in hand, screams of excitement erupt around the room.
Trying to get the words out, all he could muster up was an emotional, “I’m gonna cry.”
“I love you. Will you marry me?” he asked. And without any hesitation, she said: “Yes.”
He hadn’t even opened the ring box before she came in for a huge kiss and cuddle.
“My little brother really did that 😭 She’s a fiancée now 🥺💍 Congratulations you two 😭❤️,” Cassius’ sister Chonnie wrote in the caption.
“Pressure was there 😭,” he added in the comments.
As the couple went to seal the deal with the ring, the party erupted into a celebratory haka.
