A 99-year-old woman has officially become the oldest person ever to crowd surf after pulling it off at Kid Rock’s Rock the Country festival in Austin, Texas earlier this month.

Honestly, how good. While the rest of us are stretching before getting off the couch, Pauline Kana, aka “Gangster Granny”, was getting strapped onto a flat board and sent sailing over a crowd like some sort of rock’n’roll pensioner superhero.

The moment went down during Brantley Gilbert’s set on May 2, after he brought Pauline out on stage in front of roughly 20,000 people and told the crowd exactly what was about to happen.

“Granny here is going to become the oldest woman to crowd surf,” he announced, before the crowd started chanting “Granny! Granny! Granny!”

Fair to say she absolutely ate it up.

After cruising over multiple rows of fans, Pauline held up her Guinness World Records certificate and yelled: “I did it! I’m the greatest of all time!”

Pauline’s already a bit of an internet legend thanks to videos with her grandson Ross Smith, who’s built a massive following online posting clips of Gangster Granny causing chaos.

We’re talking signs saying “Run if you think I’m sexy”, proposing to John Cena, flipping the double bird at the camera, the whole deal.

At 99, she’s definitely cooler than I’ll ever be.
