Gracie Abrams has admitted a song on her new album made her want to "rip out" her eyeballs.

During an appearance on the latest episode of Jake Shane's Therapuss podcast, Abrams discussed the recent release of her third album, Daughter from Hell.

The 26-year-old star confessed she initially struggled to listen to Look at My Life after writing it.

"I really didn't like that song until recently," she shared.

Abrams went on to explain the reasons behind her aversion to the hit track.

The singer-songwriter admitted she had written the song when she was battling unhappiness and hearing the lyrics took her back there.

"I wrote it when I was not feeling good," she explained.

"It took like six months until I could hear it again and not want to rip my eyeballs out."

Elsewhere in the interview, Abrams discussed being an opening act for Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour for a series of dates in 2023 and 2024.

The Hit the Wall singer revealed she learned a great deal from being a part of the record-breaking shows.

"It's so easy to talk about because it was the masterclass, you know what I mean?" she shared.

"You get to watch this titan of the industry, top-down, make the experience for every single person who ever attended, but every single person who works to make it happen, the best version of the experience that it could be," the star continued.

Abrams loved touring with Swift and revealed the atmosphere among the crew was "very summer vibes".

She also praised Swift's work ethic and was left in awe of her ability to put aside any personal issues and entertain her fans.

"I learned on a personal level that the show always goes on no matter what," she shared.

"You would never know if she was sick. You would never know if her heart was aching, for she's just giving it everything and doing it with grace and warmth, and she's just this fiercely brilliant singular, kind of alien," Abrams added.
