'Gorgeous little bean': DnB powercouple Katie from Koven & A.M.C welcome baby

Drum and bass power couple, Katie from Koven and A.M.C, have officially announced the arrival of their baby girl into the world - and honestly, we couldn’t be happier for them.

In a post to Instagram, A.M.C shared the news that their “gorgeous little bean” arrived on 19 February.

He also opened up about their experience at their local hospital, showing some serious gratitude.

“We just wanted to say how absolutely incredible our experience was at our local hospital and how grateful we are for the NHS. The care we got throughout the birth was amazing.”

But it wasn’t all smooth sailing.

“When our little bean got unwell at 7 days old, and we had to go back in for a few nights, we were so well cared for. Thank you to all the wonderful midwives, nurses & doctors that we met, that helped us and carried us through a really hard time. Forever grateful.”

Of course, heaps of drum and bass artists expressed their love in the comments.

Andy C kept it simple: “Congrats to you both.”

Turno added: “Awwwww congratsssssss my G’s!!! Can’t wait to meet her.”

And Youphoria wrote: “CONGRATULATIONS TO THE COOLEST SUPERSTAR PARENTS!!!”

The couple first announced their pregnancy back in October last year, and Katie’s post hit home for a lot of people.

“I can’t believe I’m actually able to post this. I’m pregnant, successfully pregnant, and at a safe point within the journey.”

She then shared something deeply personal.

“Most of you will not know as it’s not something I ever publicly shared, but this is my 4th pregnancy, and over the last 18 months we’ve dealt with 3 pregnancy losses, each in their own unique and awful way.”

“I’ve continued to play shows throughout everything, and there’s been some pretty rough times, so if I ever didn’t seem like myself, this could have been why.”

Imagine throwing down an already highly demanding festival set while dealing with that privately. Unreal strength, what a weapon.
