The Goo Goo Dolls have cancelled their upcoming tour dates due to frontman John Rzeznik's illness.
Taking to Instagram on Sunday, a representative for the rock band announced that the remainder of the trek across Canada was scrapped due to Rzeznik battling a severe case of pneumonia.
"Unfortunately, we must cancel the remaining dates on our Canadian Tour," they wrote. "John was diagnosed with pneumonia and has not fully recovered. We are very disappointed and can't wait to get back to Canada as soon as possible."
Ticketholders can request refunds from the point of purchase.
It's unclear whether Rzeznik and bandmate Robby Takac plan on returning to Canada.
The Goo Goo Dolls had already cancelled three shows scheduled to take place in the country, but did perform as planned in London, Ontario on Saturday evening.
Following the update, Rzeznik was inundated with well-wishes.
"That is absolutely the right decision @johnrzeznikggd ! I know how difficult it was for you to cancel these shows but health comes first and it would have been dangerous for you to continue to try to push through with pneumonia!" commented celebrity vocal coach, Eric Vetro. "I can't believe you were able to actually make it through last night - I was really concerned and even nervous that you were going to pass out at some point and hurt yourself! Get some rest, my friend, you need it and you deserve it."
The Iris hitmakers are next set to play at the Two Step Inn event in Georgetown, Texas on 18 April.
