The highly anticipated fifth installment of Rohit Shetty’s powerhouse comedy franchise, Golmaal 5, has reached a major production milestone. Principal photography for the main talkie portions and dialogue-driven narrative scenes has officially wrapped up, bringing the project significantly closer to the finish line and fueling excitement among long-time fans of the series.

Star Cast and On-Set Synergy The bulk of the shoot, including a recently concluded schedule in Ooty, brought together the franchise’s iconic ensemble cast alongside exciting fresh additions:

  • The Core Ensemble: Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Kemmu, and Sharman Joshi (who featured heavily in the Ooty leg of filming).

  • New Addition: Akshay Kumar joins the chaotic universe, adding extra star power to the comedy lineup.

Despite managing such a massive, multi-star cast, sources close to the production report that the atmosphere on set remained remarkably calm, smooth, and professional. Much of this seamless workflow has been attributed to Rohit Shetty’s young, highly disciplined team of assistant directors. Following Shetty’s signature directorial style, the crew maintained an efficient, focused environment—balancing a friendly rapport with the actors while maintaining the professional boundary necessary to keep a high-budget production running on schedule.

What Remains on the Production Schedule While the story elements are officially in the can, the film isn't completely finished:

  • Two Final Songs: The crew has two major song sequences left to capture over the next month or so.

  • Title Track: Among the remaining numbers is the film's flagship title track, which will feature the full ensemble cast in a high-energy performance.

Official Stance on Release Date Rumors Speculation recently surged online claiming that Golmaal 5 was targeting a December release. However, production house Rohit Shetty Picturez swiftly issued an official clarification to dismantle the rumors.

"We would like to clarify that these reports are completely false and baseless. Our entire team is currently focused on making an entertaining film for audiences... Any information regarding the film, including its release date, will be communicated only through our official announcements."

A Legacy of Laughter Beginning with Golmaal: Fun Unlimited in 2006, the franchise established itself as one of Indian cinema's most lucrative comedy series, followed by Golmaal Returns (2008), Golmaal 3 (2010), and Golmaal Again (2017). With the main shoot complete, post-production will soon be in full swing as fans wait for the official release reveal.
