Davison discusses the recent Global Dairy Trade (GDT) auction results, where there has been a 6.2% surge in butter prices to $8,000 a tonne due to poor milk production in Western Europe.
He highlights that Europe's wet weather is shifting processors towards cheese production, the dominance of Southeast Asia and Oceania as major buyers, and the impact of low domestic milk prices in China on global markets.
