George FM’s Brook Gibson Reveals Secret London Wedding

George FM Drive host Brook Gibson has revealed he and his long-time partner, Aria Phillips, have been secretly married since July.
Over the weekend, the couple gathered their closest friends and family under the guise of celebrating their engagement party. But what guests thought was a routine toast to future nuptials turned out to be one of the best-kept secrets.
Brook wasn't planning a wedding - he had already tied the knot nearly four months ago.
We got married before we left because we couldn't officially sign papers over there, even though I've got a British passport.
So it was us, and two of our friends. We got all the official paperwork done on a Monday at a celebrant's place in Parnell, and then I came straight into work after. I didn't tell a single person. Sin only found out once we were in London.
Once they landed in the UK, the real celebrations kicked off in signature Brook & Aria style.
So we went around the whole day in London on Lime bikes, and we had our friend Joey with us, who was taking photos and videos of everything. And we told all of our friends in London to meet us at this particular pub at like 7:00pm.
George Drive co-host Sin Howard was convinced she had cracked the code.
"You guys had sent us a text quite a long time in advance," Sin laughed. "I was like, 'Sweet! I know what he's done cuz he knows how much I want to do it. He's taking me to a jazz night! I dressed for a jazz night!'"
Instead of jazz, guests arrived to envelopes containing NDA's (non-disclosure agreements) that everyone had to sign before they knew what was happening.
"The next moment, we came biking around the corner on these Lime bikes—Aria in a wedding dress, me in my suit," Brook said.
Fast-forward to this past weekend, and the rest of Brook and Aria’s inner circle finally got in on the secret.
At their Auckland engagement party, guests watched a video message from Brook’s sister wishing the couple well. She teased the room by adding, "Luckily, I saw the next best thing," before the screen cut to video of their secret London ceremony and Lime bike escapade.
On behalf of the entire George FM whānau, a massive congratulations to Brook and Aria!
