Move over, Red carpet, the Wellington Sea Market just had a ‘Game of Thrones’ takeover.

Emilia Clarke, aka Daenerys Targaryen, casually strolled in on Monday, leaving staff and locals in complete disbelief.

Teyenne Taana, the lucky employee to snap a pic with the Hollywood icon, said: “I was completely starstruck.”

I mean… a celebrity at a fish market? That’s not in the job description!

Naturally, the market couldn’t resist showing off on Instagram. Clarke reportedly spent about 10 minutes picking out fresh blue cod and chatting with staff - proving even the Mother of Dragons can’t resist some Kiwi seafood.

“When Emilia Clarke saw how good our seafood looked, she immediately jumped on a plane to New Zealand,” the market’s Instagram caption boasted.

Her first stop when she got off the plane was Wellington Sea Market, Lambton Quay, where she grabbed some Blue Cod, fresh out of the water this morning.

“Thanks for coming in, Mother of Dragons. We hope the long journey was worth it,” they added.

Clarke is currently in New Zealand filming a secret project and apparently taking some local tips from actor and close friend Jason Momoa, including marae visits, traditional hangi feasts, and South Island adventures.

Only in NZ could you be heading out to grab your seafood for the week and casually bump into an A-list celeb.
