Frontier Touring are up to something, and all signs point to Foo Fighters making their way back down under…
The promo breadcrumbs started yesterday (Dec1), when Frontier posted a photo of a billboard spotted in Hobart, Australia. Black background, Foo Fighters’ white logo, and a link to Frontier’s website. No other info, which has got the rumour mill turning.
The caption read, “Give me a reason, show me a sign.”
Fair play to them, because they’ve given us both and absolutely no answers.
Clicking the link takes you to Frontier’s site, but the whole thing is blacked out with the Foo Fighters logo slapped in the middle. There’s a countdown, ticking its way toward 6am tomorrow, Wednesday 3 December.
Underneath that, Frontier promise “Big news incoming”, plus a reminder for members to select Rock as a genre preference so the announcement lands in the inbox.

And while that teaser billboard was spotted in Australia, Frontier’s URL for the teaser includes “NZ”, which has Kiwi fans wondering if we’re included in this ‘big’ cryptic news.
The last time Foo Fighters were in New Zealand was January 2024, when they played Wellington and Auckland, delivering epic 26-song sets.
Obviously a bit has changed since then, notably with drummer Ilan Rubin stepping in after Josh Freese was let go from the band earlier this year.
Personally, I wonder if it’ll be a one-off Tasmanian show. Because why have they only released a billboard in Hobart? But surely the Foos wouldn’t come all the way to Australia just to perform one show? And if they’re coming to Australia…. Surely they’ll come to NZ?
I dunno. I guess we’ll find out tomorrow morning, but if you’re a big fan, maybe start warming up the group chat now.
