Kiwis have tried to sell some straight-up weird stuff over the past two-and-a-half decades and TradeMe has listed the strangest.
The online auction site is celebrating its 25th birthday this year and has shared the 25 'most iconic listings' in their history.
My personal favorite is the "used cigarette butt", which went for $7475 as it was the last ever to be legally smoked indoors in Aotearoa. Similarly, a plastic Pak'nSave bag went for $50 in 2019, around when supermarkets decided to get rid of 'em altogether.
Someone also once listed Australia, and it didn't sell. There are also a few genuinely cool things, like the Cardborghini Aventapoor - a Lamborghini made of cardboard - and the Spa Boat (Spoat), which is exactly what it sounds like.
