Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst and rapper/ pop-punk artist MGK have teamed up for a brand new track, with a very Limp Bizkit-sounding song title.

The song’s called ‘Fix Ur Face’, and it’s landed today after a few weeks of teasing, including a video shoot in Nashville and an early live debut during MGK’s Perth show earlier this month.

To be fair, it does what it says on the tin. Nu-metal energy, chunky guitars, scratches, and plenty of attitude. Fred kicks things off with, “time to turn this motherfucker up”, which is about as Limp Bizkit as it gets.

MGK, meanwhile, leans into a rap-rock blend, even dropping the line, “Rock’s not dead long as I’m alive…” which, look, is a bold call, but we’ll let him do his thing.

He also told the Perth crowd how it came together, saying, “I called up my friend Fred Durst. I said, ‘Sir, drop something on this.’ What he dropped, the rest is history.”

The song definitely has an early 2000s vibe, but if you’re a Limp Bizkit fan, you might come away wishing there was a bit more Fred in the mix.

Plenty of fans are already saying the same thing, with one of the top YouTube comments reading, “Hard AF but wish Fred was more than a hype man,” and a whole lot of people are backing that up.

He’s there, he brings the swagger, but it feels more like a cameo than a full-blown Bizkit moment. Bit of a hype man energy when, to be honest, we were kinda hoping for a full send.

Still, a fun collab I reckon.
