According to Frankie Muniz, Bryan Cranston is spearheading the return of the beloved sitcom 'Malcolm in the Middle'.
Muniz, who played Malcolm in the early 2000s show, recently talked to Fox News and said he'd be keen as for a reunion and that Cranston is taking the initiative.
"I know Bryan Cranston is really into the idea and he's kind of heading writing the script and getting everything rolling," he said.
"So, there might be something. I would be down 100 per cent. But I don't know - we'll see what happens."
The 36-year-old appeared on Steve-O's (star of 'Jackass') podcast 'Steve-O's Wild Ride!' earlier this year and delved into a bit more detail about the possible return of the Wilkerson family.
"Bryan was leading it because he wants to do it again," he said. "We got everyone on board except for one person."
"They want to make it a movie - I don't fully understand it but I'd be thrilled because it would be kind of cool to see where Malcolm and his family are 20 years later, whatever it is," he continued.
"But, I don't know what's happening with that, all I know is that Bryan is writing a script."
Cranston, who played Malcolm's father Hal, told E! News back in 2020 that he would be stoked to do a reunion, mostly because of the relationships he built with the rest of the cast.
"I sure hope so," he said when asked if a reunion is possible. "For no other reason than I miss those people like crazy."
"I'd love to. There's a possibility, y'know. We wanna start talking about the possibility of putting together a story that makes sense about that family, 10 years later, or whatever—12 years later. It's not unheard of."
"All I wanna do is tell the story and have a good experience. It was a great time in my life, seven years and it was a lot of work and a lot of fun, just a tremendous amount of fun," he finished.
Nothing is confirmed about the reunion yet but we will keep you in the loop!
