We've got chills that are multiplying - there's a new Grease origin story in town, and it's all about the beginnings of the Pink Ladies.
The teaser trailer for 'Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies' has just been released, giving fans a first look at the ten-episode prequel television series.
The show promises to let audiences "witness the rise of the original girl gang" - following the stories of Jane, Olivia, Cynthia and Nancy, who started the Pink Ladies four years before the events of the original 'Grease' movie.
Taking place in the halls of Rydell High in 1954, there's no Rizzo in sight, but plenty of the all-singing, all-dancing musical numbers we know and love. The girls' T-Bird counterparts also feature in the show, but like we've never seen them before.
"Our characters will get to experience from a different lens and how those experiences overlap with others with a marginalized identity," said series creator Annabel Oakes at a panel on Monday (US time).
"I think we have the opportunity to represent another struggle that overlaps with things we're dealing with today like racism."
The series is set to hit screens in April, and we're thinking 'there are worse things we do could' with our time than binge-watch till our heart's content!
