Flume has released an album out of nowhere this morning, called 'Things Don't Always Go The Way You Plan'.
The Aussie EDM artist is celebrating ten years since his unreal debut album 'FLUME" dropped and songs on this surprise album are unreleased tracks that he's made in the past decade.
"Ten years since my first record came out, since then I've wrote a lot of music, not all of it came out," he said in a social media post.
'Things Don't Always Go The Way You Plan' is ten tracks long and features songs with Injury Reserve, Panda Bear, and Isabella Manfredi.
"The collection is an immersive dive into the various eras of Flume with a combination of experimental and vocal material," according to a press release.
"There's uplifting cinematic moments, wonky mixtape-era beats, a return to hip hop, and classic song-driven material. It's all very Flume and consistent with the eclecticism that has earned him his unique lane in electronic music and popular culture."
It's Flume's first release since November 2022 when he dropped 'Slugger 1.4', a track he made back in 2014 (unless you want to count his cover of 'Shooting Stars' he did for Trilpe J which got really weird.)
Flume also announced that he will be doing a show at The Forum in Los Angeles on May 5th to celebrate a decade since his first project.
Before he goes to Cali though, he's stopping off in Auckland to do a show at Spark Arena, happily presented by George.
Earlier this year Flume told General Lee how he froths playing here in Aotearoa because of our passion in the crowd.
"I genuinely love New Zealand so much," he said. "It's one of my favourite places to go and the crowds are nuts. Crowds are genuinely fucking bonkers whenever I come down, like, for real."
