Fred Again: Boiler Room King, dance music pioneer, and now, alongside Skrillex and Four Tet, Coachella saviour.
The bromantic DJ trio are being praised by fans everywhere for 'saving Coachella' after they closed the festival with a mammoth set earlier this week. They took over the festie's final slot after previous headliner Frank Ocean had to pull out due to injury.
Sticking to the minimal, intimate set design they've been running with in previous gigs, the three DJs were parked up on an elevated, circular stage in the middle of the crowd.
The set list was full of bangers across different musical genres, as well as some of the DJs' biggest tunes. Nirvana's 'Smells Like Teen Spirit', FISHER's 'Losing it', Carly Rae Jepsen's 'Call Me Maybe', Miley Cyrus's 'Party in the USA', Taylor Swift's 'Love Story' and more were all part of the mix that Billboard called a 'historic dance music moment'.
Fans online seem to agree, with the consensus being the EDM squadron provided an all-time killer set.
One fan shared a video of the three DJs taking it all in in the midst of the set.
"This was such a wholesome moment," they wrote. "The three that saved Coachella. This went down as one of the greatest sets performed in history. Skrillex, Four Tet and Fred Again, thank you!"
"This is such a beautiful moment in history," another said. "Seeing three fairly drastically different artists in the dance scene come together and do one of the most insane huge shows of all time together without losing their identities. It's beautiful."
"Currently witnessing 3 goats headlining Coachella with a few strobes, haze, lasers, lights, and no visuals," a third added, chucking in a few 'goat' emojis for good measure.
