Fans disappointed at exclusion of iconic Kiwi actor from latest season of 'The Mandalorian'

'Star Wars' mainstay Temuera Morrison won't feature in season three of the Disney show and we are gutted.

Aotearoa's beloved Temuera Morrison has been left out of the latest season of Disney's 'The Mandalorian' and we are gutted.

The 'Once Were Warriors' star has been a mainstay in the 'Star Wars' franchise as Boba Fett, and recently revealed he expected to be a part of the third season but "nobody rang" him.

Speaking at a SUPANOVA Comic Con & Gaming convention in Melbourne, Morrison explains he was told Disney is "having a few cutbacks" and that he would not feature in season three despite having his very own spin-off 'The Book of Boba Fett' just two years ago.

"I was supposed to be in 'The Mandalorian' season three, but nobody rang me," he said.

"I was waiting for the phone call in New Zealand, waiting and wanting to give up."

While he seems to be taking the classic Kiwi 'it is what it is' attitude, fans (much like us) are disappointed at his exclusion from the show.

"This hurts so much," one person wrote on Twitter.

"Temuera Morrison's been my favourite since the prequels and the reason why I love the Fett's. He deserved FAR better."

"They really did him dirty and it sucks so much."

Another Twitter user took to the social media platform to share their displeasure at the lack of respect shown to the Maori actor.

"Temuera Morrison should be treated with more respect when it comes to future appearances. He deserves better than what he was handed regarding Mando S3."

Morrison did fire shots at co-star Pedro Pascal and his involvement in 'The Book of Boba Fett' saying: "Well, that Mando guy stole a few chapters of my book."

"I'm sure this guy is, ah, ruining my show," he continued, "But I couldn't say anything. I'm not the writer, so I have to bear it I guess."

There are currently no plans for a second season of Morrison's Boba Fett spin-off while 'The Mandalorian' has not yet confirmed a fourth season.
