Paul McCartney is fresh off the stage from headlining Glastonbury Music Festival in a legendary performance that delighted fans across the world.
However, some negative feedback about the material McCartney played in his headline performance has prompted a wave of fans to rush to his defence.
The majority of the complaints about McCartney's performance were that he played songs that some people didn't know and lacked the oomph that they were hoping for.
Another thought his performance was disappointing because he wasn't enthusiastic enough.
Many Beatles fans took offence to the disrespect of such an icon, pointing out that the 80-year-old was Glastonbury's oldest-ever headliner, and played a whopping 38-song set.
"Paul McCartney is 80 and is headlining Glastonbury at 10.30pm. I'm 43 and going to bed at 9pm," another joked.
"I don't think people understand how important it is that Paul McCartney is headlining the Glastonbury Festival in 2022, at the age of 80. That's some real iconic stuff. He really is in his league. Unbelievable," wrote a third.
During his performance, McCartney invited several other legends to join him on stage.
Dave Grohl, a rock legend, accompanied McCartney on 'I Saw Her Standing There' and 'Band On The Run.'
Bruce Springsteen also made an appearance for 'Glory Days', and 'I Wanna Be Your Man'.
