This weekend RUFUS DU SOL are kick-starting summer playing at Western Springs in Auckland. They’re wrapping up their Inhale/Exhale World Tour in New Zealand after a run of shows across the ditch in Aussie.

They’ve just sold nearly 600,000 tickets worldwide for this tour, they’re one of the most popular electronic acts right now and have just been nominated for a Grammy for Best Dance/Electronic Album. The band also just celebrated 10 years since their most famous track, ‘Innerbloom’, was released.

Chatting to Sin & Brook on George Drive, the boys said: “New Zealand feels super close to our hearts. We’ve been over there from the very start, I remember those small, tiny shows we were playing in little back room bars and really excited to get back there.

Getting to and from the gig

The event is at The Outer Fields at Western Springs.

There’s no on-site parking. Parking nearby is very limited, and additional temporary parking restrictions may apply on event days.

The venue is within walking distance of nearby central city neighbourhoods (Ponsonby, Grey Lynn, Westmere, Morningside, Western Springs).

Public Transport: We recommend using Auckland Transport’s (AT) Journey Planner for bus connections along Great North Road or train connections via Morningside Station.

The venue is also within an easy rideshare/taxi distance from Auckland City. There are dedicated P5 drop-off/pick-up locations nearby on event days.

Entry rules

• Small amounts of home prepared food in clear-wrap or transparent container (no commercial branded food, including takeaways)

You cannot bring:

• No Bags larger than A3 (400mm x 300mm x 300mm)

• No professional cameras (devices with detachable lens and/or lens larger than a standard watch face), video cameras and recording devices
