Dwayne Johnson felt honoured to act alongside Danny DeVito in the upcoming Jumanji sequel.
The Smashing Machine actor took to Instagram on Monday to celebrate DeVito's final day on the set of the next Jumanji movie.
He posted an image of himself, DeVito and Kevin Hart posing together in costume, with Johnson kissing the Twins actor on the top of his head. The last image shows DeVito being watched by the crew as he films a scene on set.
"That's an official Jumanji wrap on the one and the only, Danny DeVito," Johnson captioned the post. "To work with you, and learn from you has been an honor ~ and to call you my friend, will always be a privilege. Thank you, brother for your anchoring heart and JOY throughout our Jumanji franchise. Let's tell more stories together."
He then quipped, "PS please keep smilin' and please keep exfoliating the top of your head (laughing and blowing a kiss emojis)."
The Matilda actor joined the cast for 2019's Jumanji: The Next Level as Edward 'Eddie' Gilpin, the grandfather of Alex Wolff's character Spencer. Johnson plays Spencer's avatar, the explorer Dr. Xander 'Smolder' Bravestone, inside the Jumanji video game.
Johnson is part of the main adult avatar cast alongside Hart, Jack Black and Karen Gillan.
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, the first instalment in the revived trilogy, was released in 2017, the second chapter came out in 2019, and the currently untitled sequel is due to hit cinemas in December.
Before production got underway in Los Angeles in November, the Fast and Furious actor revealed it would be their last outing.
"What a massive, fun, heartfelt adventure," he wrote alongside videos and snaps from the table read. "Feels emotionally appropriate for our beloved JUMANJI franchise to end on this beautiful grace note of our final film."
The next film, believed to be subtitled Cross-Platform, will be released on 11 December.
