Dr Dre inducts Eminem into Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

Iconic.

Eminem was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame on Saturday night (November 5) by none other than the man who brought him into the music world, legendary producer Dr Dre.

During a ceremony held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Saturday night, the hip-hop mogul took to the stage to introduce the rapper. Dre joked about how surprised he was to learn that Eminem was white, and said that others in the industry told him to not work with him.

"I knew that his gifts were undeniable," Dr Dre. said. "Each of us were exactly what the other one needed—and I was willing to bet my entire career on that."

"Over 20 years ago, (music producer) Jimmy Iovine played a demo tape for me from a guy who called himself Eminem. The first thing I said when I heard it was, 'What the f**k did he just say?'" "I loved it so much, I couldn't stop listening to it. A few days later, Jimmy called me and said, 'Hey Dre, you know that's a white guy, right? That completely f**ked me up..."

Fortunately, he didn't listen, and the rest is history.
