Dolly Parton's sister breaks silence on family feud: 'We are moving forward'

Dolly Parton's sister, Stella, has spoken out about the family feud.

After the country music legend died last month, aged 80, her family has been locked in a bitter dispute.

Parton's estate has allegedly been granted a temporary restraining order against the singer's nephew, Bryan Seaver, after he allegedly made threats towards her manager, Danny Nozell.

Nozell, who was Parton's manager for over 20 years, has claimed Seaver demanded money from him and began "invoking his self-proclaimed military-contractor experience, access to weapons, and capacity for violence."

Now Parton's sister, Stella, who is also Seaver's aunt, has addressed the situation.

"All families have the same struggles since we are all living in this world having a human experience," she wrote on Facebook. "We are still intact and moving forward because our children and grandchildren look to us for strength and guidance during this difficult time of loss and confusion for them as well."

She warned fans to be sceptical about what they hear. "Regardless of what you may have seen on different news outlets, we are all doing what you would be doing under the same circumstances," wrote the 77-year-old.

A spokesperson for Seaver said they were "dismayed by the unexpected and, so far, unexplained actions" since Dolly's death. "We remain unshakably resolved to fulfil (Parton's) final directive to protect her family, and we refuse to be intimidated by those whose actions we believe are being taken in bad faith and with the intent to profit from the life of someone who willingly gave so much," they said in a statement.
