From childhood memories and family games to competitive tournaments, carrom has evolved into a serious sport requiring precision, strategy, concentration and skill. Pankaj shares his journey, busts some of the common myths surrounding carrom and explains why national-level tournaments are so important in keeping this classic sport alive and introducing it to a new generation.

For many of us, carrom brings back memories of family gatherings, friendly competitions and someone inevitably claiming, “That was a foul!”

But beyond the nostalgia lies a sport with a passionate community of players. Whether you're an experienced competitor or someone who has barely touched a striker, carrom offers something for everyone.

Pankaj explains how the NZCA is working to create opportunities for players of all ages and skill levels to come together, compete and enjoy the sport.

Events like the New Zealand National Carrom Tournament play an important role in growing the sport. They provide players with an opportunity to test their skills, meet fellow enthusiasts.
