Devilskin are on the hunt for Kiwi bands to open their upcoming tour

Devilskin are on the hunt for Kiwi bands to open six dates on their Be Like The River 10th Anniversary Tour, kicking off later this month.

If you've been waiting for a chance to get your music in front of a packed crowd, this might be the one. The band put the call out on Instagram, asking:

"WHO SHOULD OPEN OUR HEADLINE SHOWS?!”

The winning bands will open one of the six shows across Christchurch, Dunedin, Tauranga, Hamilton, Palmy North and Hastings between 24 July and 8 August. You don't have to be from the city you're applying for, but you do need to be able to get yourself there. It's also only open to New Zealand bands.

There's a few things to keep in mind before you fire off your application. It's a paid gig, winners will play a 30-minute set before Devilskin and The Boondocks, and you'll need to bring your own backline, including drums and amps. The band also says they're more interested in great songs than follower counts, so don't stress if your socials aren't blowing up just yet.

Applications need your strongest track, and if you've got one, a music video won't hurt either. Just make sure your links are public and your email address is right before hitting submit.
