If you've been unable to look away from the public explosion of the Beckham family's simmering feud, join the club. The wheels have finally come off this runaway train, and it's not showing any signs of slowing down

In case you missed it - but how could you? - yesterday the eldest Beckham boy, Brooklyn, absolutely sent it with a multi-page Instagram statement that left nothing to the imagination. He claimed his parents were "controlling", "inappropriate", "humiliating" and even alleged they tried to bribe him into signing away the rights to his own name. Ouch.

How does a parent respond to these kinds of accusations? Especially when you're the patriarch of one of the world's most famous families? In classic dad fashion, of course.

According to reports from E! Online, David was first spotted looking pretty grim at the World Economic Forum in Davos shortly after Brooklyn's statement. While he blanked Sky News reporters who asked if he had a message for his son, he later sat down for a televised interview with CNBC’s Squawk Box to talk about "social media".

Yeah, right.

David didn't name Brooklyn directly, but he did say: "I've always spoken about social media and the power of social media - for the good and for the bad.

"The bad we’ve talked about with what kids can access these days... it can be dangerous."

Then came the kicker. In a move that felt like a public 'I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed',  David added:

But what I've found personally, you know, especially with my kids as well, use it for the right reasons.

He continued: “You know, I've been able to use my platform and my following for UNICEF, and it's been the biggest tool to make people aware of what's going on around the world for children, and I've tried to do the same."

I've tried to do the same with my children, to educate them. They make mistakes.

OOOF. Talk about a burn.

"Children are allowed to make mistakes. That's how they learn. So, that's what I try to teach my kids. But you know, you have to sometimes let them make those mistakes.”

While Brooklyn is out here claiming he's finally found "peace and relief" away from his parents' control, David is essentially telling the world that his 26-year-old son is just going through a phase and needs to learn a thing or two.

However, the plot continues to thicken. Rumours are swirling that the rift has been deepened by political clashes, with whispers that Nicola Peltz’s billionaire family are staunch MAGA supporters who even invited Donald Trump to one of the couple's THREE engagement parties.

As if that wasn't enough drama for one week, a ghost from David’s past has decided to weigh in. Rebecca Loos, David's former PA who alleged he had an affair with her, has reportedly reacted to Brooklyn’s public stand against his parents. The woman at the centre of the 2004 cheating scandal shared her thoughts in the comments section of her latest Instagram post, though they've since been removed.

Replying to a follower who wrote, "Rebecca, you gotta see the awesome ditch Brooklyn just posted in his story about David and Victoria and their lies…"

Rebecca responded, "So happy he is standing up for himself and speaking publicly finally!!!! I have felt so bad for his poor wife, knowing too well what they can be like!"

Another comment read "Fascinating admission from Brooklyn" to which the former model responded, "The truth always comes out."

All this proves that when the Beckham house starts shaking, everyone comes out of the woodwork.

Insiders say David is particularly gutted because he’s always viewed himself as the ultimate supportive dad. Seeing Brooklyn claim that "Brand Beckham" comes before family love has reportedly left the football star "heartbroken."

But will Brooklyn take being called a "mistake-maker" lightly? Probably not.

Grab your popcorn, pals - this one’s far from over.
