Watch: Dave Grohl’s favourite quote is from this New Zealand interview

Dave Grohl told our very own Roger Farrelly about one of his favourite moments that happened right here in New Zealand.
The Foo Fighters frontman was recalling a 2010 interview with his other band, Them Crooked Vultures, featuring Queens of the Stone Age's Josh Homme and Led Zeppelin legend John Paul Jones.
With that much rock royalty in one room, you'd expect a few decent stories. But this particular moment came from a pretty standard question about the rock star lifestyle.
During the interview, the trio were asked about the classic saying, "sex, drugs and rock and roll".
Except Homme heard something a little different.
“Six drugs? There has been more than that.”
Rather than launching into some serious reflection on the wild days of rock music, Homme managed to deliver an absolute cracker of a one-liner.
You'd think Grohl, having played with Nirvana, Foo Fighters and just about every other rock legend under the sun, would have heard every outrageous story imaginable.
Yet it's this simple little exchange from a New Zealand interview that's stuck with him. He even told Rog they nearly named their next record “Six drugs and rock n’ roll.”
Sometimes the best rock stories don't need a massive build-up. Just three legends, one innocent question and a bloke who apparently thought six drugs wasn't nearly enough.
