Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl joined AC/DC on stage for ‘Highway to Hell’ during the Aussie rock legends’ final Power Up Tour show at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium.

After what has felt like a very long tour, AC/DC were wrapping up the tour on Friday, October 2 when Brian Johnson revealed they had a mate keen to jump up for one of the biggest songs of the night.

“Hey everybody, we got something to tell you. You better listen up close now. A very good friend of ours asked us today if he could come up and join us on the stage for ‘Highway for Hell.’ And we said, ‘Yes Dave, you can.’ David Grohl!” Johnson told the crowd before giving Grohl a hug.

It was a pretty decent full-circle moment for Grohl, who had earlier opened the show with Foo Fighters and explained just how much AC/DC meant to him growing up.

Grohl told the crowd he was 11 when he saw AC/DC’s Let There Be Rock movie at a midnight screening, and it completely changed his idea of what a rock band could be.

“I saw that movie, I was 11 years old, I said, ‘I want to do that for the rest of my f**king life.’ So here we are… I’m going to live my childhood dream again, tonight.”

And live it he did, casually jumping on stage with AC/DC for ‘Highway to Hell’. Eleven-year-old Dave would’ve absolutely lost his mind.

The MetLife gig closed out AC/DC’s Power Up Tour, with Johnson signing off with: “Good night, hope we’ll see you again.”

Ya love to see it.
