Ed Sheeran’s New Zealand leg of his ‘Loop Tour’ kicked off in Auckland over the weekend, and while thousands came to watch the ‘Azizam’ singer perform, two NZ Police Officers stole the show.

Videos of a male and female officer have gone viral after bringing joy to the crowd, particularly one little girl who got to boogie with the police - how often can you say you’ve done that?

TikTok user @erlesparles captured the “cutest moment” of a young tween having the time of her life, getting twirled by a female officer while her family and another officer recorded the special moment.

“So great to see!!!” Someone wrote in the comments.

“That’s so cute! How good are NZ Police 👏,” said another.

A third wrote: “Community-based policing. The rest of the world should learn from this.”

Another viral video captured by Sagar Makkar shows the two cops with peak energy, bouncing around, engaging with the seated crowd, and clearly enjoying their job.

Everyone’s gotta have perks, right?!

The clip has been watched nearly 1 million times, and we can’t get enough.

One commenter wrote, “NZ cops are great. Real and human.”

“Awesome,” said another. “Love seeing our police having fun. It’s a thankless job sometimes, and they put their lives on the line every day. Let them have fun.”

A third added, “This is what the world needs right now! 🥰”

Even the official Ed Sheeran HQ account chimed in, saying: “Love these divas !!! 🩷”

If these are the vibes the rest of the country has to look forward to, I’d say they’re about to be some of Ed’s best shows yet.

Our very own rova reviewer, Jacob, shared his experience, saying he was “having too much fun”.

“And I wasn’t alone, I saw a kid on someone's shoulders waving his shirt around his head as if he was at a 2000s rock gig, and even the security guards were clapping and having a boogie!”

Ed is gearing up for three more incredible shows at Wellington’s Sky Stadium on January 21 and Christchurch’s Apollo Projects Stadium on January 24 and 25.
