Couples are parting ways after taking the viral 'Love Languages' quiz.
Dr Gary Chapman, a doctor of philosophy and author of the 1992 bestseller 'The 5 Love Languages', designed the quiz to recognise how love and affection are exhibited in five primary ways. These five can be broken down into 'acts of service, receiving gifts, quality time, words of affirmation or physical touch'.
The aim of the quiz is to help people learn about the way they prefer to love and be loved, with the goal being a stronger relationship.
But.. it doesn't seem to go to plan for everyone who takes the quiz.
Writer Caspar Salmon replied to this tweet "I can tell you for a fact that a friend of mine ended things with someone fairly recently not long after being asked what his love language was. (Other factors may have been involved)".
Others have also expressed the effect the test would have on their relationships, "I'm inclined to end things with a guy if he was to say his love language is physical touch, I have a rough idea of what to expect.
People have reiterated how the whole point of the 'Love Languages' quiz is to allow each person in the relationship to understand and help enable couples to love in the ways that their partner requires.
